Memory's Line: how does your memory see?
An animated short film, currently in production (2027).
by Alonna Shaw

How this story began: One day at the beach, it occurred to me that my mind sees my life’s timeline as a line resembling a large intestine with a splayed end like an unraveled rope. I remember my life as points on this line before it twists off into the past and future.

When I paid attention to how I see time in my mind, I wondered, how do others see memory?

This is a conceptual collage animation about place and memory using visual poetry and spoken word in a narrative style. This is a story of a young woman accompanied by a bee-robot. Together, they explore the dark recesses of her somatic recall.
