Alonna (アラナ) Shaw is a place-based poet who works across poetry, visual art, and film. Her work explores how memory and the body shape what we carry when language falls short. Poetry Blocks

I love that moment of discovery when you find something within something else.

While revising my poetry collection, My Life in Rambles, I made fun word clouds as perspective exercises. Sections of the clouds, I call word blocks, kept distracting me.

These were cut from word clouds and made into collage pin boards. They can be read in many ways. Eyes drawn to color, word, or order?
